This is just one of many small alleyways and side streets that are crammed with bars in Kyoto. Each sign shown here is advertising a completely different bar. Often, there will be different bars and restaurants occupying different floors of each building, so the signs can almost touch the sky (especially in Tokyo). If you're indecisive, it can make choosing a bar fairly tricky. If, like me, you simply want a drink, then it's almost like gazing at heaven...
