These are the back streets that link the small town together - if you don't fancy getting around by boat, of course. During the day these alleys are thronged with street merchants, selling food, clothes or kitsch Chinese items. At night when everyone is either at home, in a bar or a night club, they are eerily deserted and almost menacing.
