The locals still go about their daily business, despite the throngs of tourists gawping at them and taking photos (guilty, your honour). I'm not exactly sure how clean the river is, with boats puttering up and down it all day, ferrying excited travellers from one spot to another; the waterway has become the best way to get around Phoenix Town. Still, everyone looked pretty clean so I guess it must do at least a half decent job.
