These are some of the amazing stalagmites that can be seen in this cave. As mentioned in a previous blog article, this cave was discovered in the early 1980s by soldiers seeking refuge from the weather. It's now become incredibly popular with tourists and when we were there, tens of groups of people were obediently following their tour guides around, listening to the golden nuggets of information being spouted by their knowledgeable guides. This picture also shows the vast range of colours employed by the Chinese to illuminate the cave, much better, I think, than white light.
