If you open the living room window, lean a little out and look right, this is the view that will greet you. It's actually the Central Business District (known locally as CBD, imaginatively) and is also where some of the embassies are to be found. You can also easily see the pollution in Beijing here, for even on a clear, bright day there is a haze hanging over the city.
