It doesn't look particularly hygienic but this is a very typical example of the kind of washroom to be found in Hutongs. This is the next room to the previous picture of the battered looking room and the toothbrushes in the pot and towel hanging from the pipe show that there are still people living in this house, despite the fact that it is currently being torn down.
