Taken from the doorway of the study, this photo gives a better representation of the length of the living room. The window looks out onto fairly old Chinese apartment blocks and does not provide a classic view of Beijing (not a bad one, though). The room can be lit in several ways; it's possible to view the main lights in the middle of the ceiling and the recessed lights around the skirting of the ceiling. There are also lights on top of the skirting which provide a very ambient low light, as well as making the room look cool.
