This area is almost immediately outside our apartment block and people use it to play basketball (despite the fact there is no hoop) and football (despite the fact there is no goal). It's got a strange spider web type mesh covering it, though, which, apart from looking cool, does nothing much at all. Although I suppose if there was a wayward football shot, it'd stop the ball from making a beeline to and then through an apartment window (as we all know there is some kind of homing device in a football kicked waywardly which almost guarantees that the ball will head directly for a nearby window in an attempt to smash it).
